I purchased a bulldog, at 6 months he required hip surgery. At 2 yrs and 2 mos. he died. The breeder we purchased him from was very pleasant when a transaction was being completed.
Whenever I had a question about his health, the claim was "this never happened to any of our dogs". When he had a seizure, "he must have gotten into something". I will contact my vet and call you back. If it happens again take him to the vet.
He suffered Monday, September 28, 2009 from 2-4:30 a.m. (approximate times), because it was horrible. He passed away shortly thereafter. The breeder told me to put my "big girl panties on and deal with it". Also said we didn't take good care of him, which is far from the truth.
We miss that baby sooo bad and want to put the word out there that if anyone has had the same experience, or similiar, we are here to listen!
They have "so called" contracts, to which language has been added/removed to suit their needs. They make approximately $20k a litter.
Another statement made was well our 11 year old bulldog died and what should we tell people that are requesting him to breed them a dog. This was just hours after his death.
She removed his picture from their website of past puppies after he was 6 mos. and had his hip surgery and claimed it was a mistake.
Please be careful who you choose as a breeder and no matter how much homework you do before spending thousands of dollars for what you think is a "blood line champion eligible breeding, showing dog".
